Guardiola: I loved seeing Rice say the title race is not done

'Touch and go whether Rosenior will remain as Chelsea boss'
Your Site News' Kaveh Solhekol speaking on SSFC:
"I think it's touch and go, whether he remains as the Chelsea head coach.
"I thought it was interesting after the game last night that he seemed to suggest that he would be picking the team for the FA Cup semi-final against Leeds on Sunday, because he made a point of saying, I'm going to make sure I pick players who are going to represent the club in the proper way.
"But I'm pretty sure this morning, at Chelsea's training ground, the senior executives there will be discussing what happened last night and what they need to do next.
"Because make no mistake, this is just about as bad as it gets for Chelsea.
"I know Liam Rosenior said last night that he was shocked by the performance and it was unacceptable, but my own personal feeling is that performances have been unacceptable for quite a long time.
"If you go back to the start of February, I think Chelsea have won two league games in almost three months, and this is the business end of the season.
"This is the time when they should have been pushing, well, in normal circumstances, they will be pushing to win the title, but they should at least have been pushing to finish second, third, fourth, as it is, I think before the next round of games, there's a good chance they could be in the bottom half of the table.
"People are talking about them getting into Europe, for what it's worth, I think you could make a case that it'd be quite embarrassing for them to be playing in the Europa Conference League.
"No disrespect to that competition. They played in it last season, and they won it. But the way the club is set up, and the finances at the club mean that they have to be in the Champions League.
"And the club have always, well, they haven't said it, but the sort of information coming out of the club has been that even if we don't make the Champions League, we are sticking with Liam Rosenior. Personally, I don't see how that's possible anymore."
Pogba: Bruno would be top three Ballon d'Or if at Man City
Sherwood: 'Rosenior won't survive this...Chelsea form is mindboggling!'
Chelsea plot Anderson hijack
Chelsea are planning to hijack both Manchester clubs in the race for 100m Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson, according to the i.
The England international has been heavily linked with a move to both Manchester City and Manchester United ahead of the summer.
Anderson signed for Forest in 2024 for 35m from Newcastle and has impressed with his recent displays. The 23-year-old has three years left on his deal at the City Ground.
Pogba: Fernandes could win the Ballon d'Or if he played for Man City
Paul Pogba says his former team-mate Bruno Fernandes could have won the Ballon d'Or had he mirrored his performances at Manchester United's rivals, Manchester City.
Fernandes has enjoyed a stellar campaign at Old Trafford despite United's struggles at times. The 31-year-old is chasing the Premier League assists record for a single season, with Fernandes two off Thierry Henry and Kevin de Bruyne's 20.
This season, Fernandes also became the second fastest United player to reach 200 goal contributions in the club's history.
Asked about Fernandes, Pogba says Fernandes would be recognised amongst the very best had he had the right team around him.
"Do you think Bruno, if he's in the other team, he's not in the top three, a Ballon d'Or player?" Pogba said, appearing on the Rio Ferdinand Presents podcast.
"You put him in City, he's [in the] Ballon d'Or [top] three, he's in the Ballon d'Or.
"Bruno Fernandes, with the stats, the season, the way he plays and everything, but when you don't win, you don't think about you, it's not. It's like, this is life, this is football.
"I know he's not physically the same as me but he cannot jump and recover the ball as I would do, but he can do everything.
"He can do everything. Like I said, Bruno Fernandes, in other big clubs, is in the top three Ballon d'Or, punto final.
"For me, as a midfielder, we talk about Kevin De Bruyne. We talk about Modric, talk about Ozil and stuff like that.
"Talk about stats, stats. I think he came as a midfielder. He scored more than Lampard in the season, as the same position, eight, 10. He does more assists. He's everywhere on the pitch. He has a volume. He keeps running. He's smart. He can play two touches, one touch. He can shoot.
"Football lovers will always respect Bruno Fernandes. That you like his style is a different thing. If you like his style, the way he plays or not, this is different opinions. But football players, they will understand that this guy is a top player."
Paper Talk: Mainoo set to sign new five-year Man Utd deal

How much pressure is Rosenior under?
Your Site News' Kaveh Solhekol on the Premier League Show:
"Liam Rosenior is under serious pressure. The minimum requirement for him now is to win the FA Cup and to qualify for the Europa League. I don't think they're going to qualify for the Champions League.
"If they don't qualify for the Champions League, it will be three years in four where they haven't qualified for it under the new owners. A club the size of Chelsea, considering the money they've spent, have to be there.
"The Chelsea hierarchy are not going to give a running commentary on Liam Rosenior's future but my personal opinion is if they don't finish in the Champions League places and they don't win the FA Cup - which is difficult as they'd need to beat Man City - he would be under serious pressure.
"Chelsea will say in private, if asked, we fully back the manager even if he doesn't qualify for the Champions League, he will still keep his job. But if you're on this kind of run, and it carries on, then you're probably going to lose you're job."
Slot expected to continue at Liverpool next season
Arne Slot is expected to continue as Liverpool head coach next season, Your Site News understands, as the club close in on Champions League qualification.
Any doubts about the Dutchman's future appear to be subsiding rapidly as a seven-point gap has opened up between Liverpool in fifth place and Chelsea in sixth.
Fifth place will secure Champions League football next season after Arsenal's progression to the semi-finals - and Liverpool's form has picked up while Chelsea are slipping.
Jamie Carragher said on Monday Night Football that the "noises I am hearing is Slot will be the Liverpool manager next season if they can secure Champions League qualification, which they look like doing right now."
Your Site News also understands that is the case after a season of increasing speculation over Slot's future, as a transitional season at Anfield has borne frustrations on and off the pitch.
Slot is set to retain the support of the hierarchy ahead of a summer in which more work is expected to be done to the squad following the announcement Mo Salah will be leaving.
Your Site News understands RB Leipzig's Yan Diomande is among their top targets for a new forward while several other positions are also being looked at.
